Music By the River: Matthew McLaughlin!
Come hear Music By the River with Matthew McLaughlin, Sat., Oct. 12, 12-2pm at the Co-op! Matthew crafts catchy, eclectic songs that convey his perspectives on life. Their music takes inspiration from 60s classics (The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Burt Bacharach, Motown) as well as modern artists (Belle & Sebastian, Jens Lekman, Joanna Newsom).
Grab some friends and some lunch from our cafe and enjoy Matthew’s music on our deck overlooking the beautiful Assabet River!

๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ฉ๐๐ฎ๐ ๐ก ๐๐จ๐ญ๐ญ๐๐ซ – Priscilla is a local artist and children’s book illustrator whose whimsical animal characters can be found all over town and in children’s books across the country.
๐๐จ๐ฒ๐๐ ๐๐ฐ๐ฒ๐๐ซ – Local professional painter Joyce Dwyer works in watercolors and her latest pieces are on exhibit now at 6 Bridges Gallery in Maynard.
๐๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ ๐๐ญ๐จ๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐๐ค๐๐ซ – Ernie is a prolific painter who works primarily in oils but also watercolors and acrylics. His works can be found at 6 Bridges and in galleries across the region.
Book Club Author Talk With Cathy Stanton!
Join the Co-op Book Club for a talk with Cathy Stanton, author of “Food Margins: Lessons From an Unlikely Grocer,” Sat., Oct. 19, 12pm at the Assabet Co-op Market. Cathy will discuss her book, which recounts her efforts to help save a small food co-ยญop in a former mill town in western Massachusetts.
