What’s a Victory Garden?

During both World Wars, the U.S. government urged citizens across the nation to plant “Victory Gardens” at home. The idea? Prevent bare shelves at the markets, build self-sufficiency in uncertain times, and rally Americans in common cause. The time has come again.

Every Victory Garden we build as a Co-op Community – every vegetable and berry and flower we harvest together – will be a victory for resiliency in the face of tremendous challenges. Let’s build more than 1,200 gardens across the region!
