🎣 Yellowfin Tuna Is Here! 🎣
Our friends at ChathamHarvesters Cooperative just delivered beautiful yellowfin tuna! Come snag some for dinner and try this super simple recipe for seared tuna …
Seared Tuna
1 pound Yellowfin Tuna
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp peanut or avocado oil
4 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp pepper
3/4 tsp sugar
1 tsp dried thyme
- Thaw the tuna and pat it dry and coat it in soy sauce .
- Make the sesame seed crust with sesame seeds, garlic powder, thyme, salt, pepper, and sugar.
- Coat the tuna with the crust, pressing it into the flesh and coating all sides.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add the oil. Place tuna in skillet, sear for about 45-60 seconds.
- Remove to a cutting board, thinly slice and serve!
